The Colorado Front Range chapter of American Pilgrims covers the areas between Ft. Collins, Denver and Boulder and Colorado Springs; and we welcome all folks throughout Colorado and also our sister state, Wyoming, who are interested in learning more about the Camino and other pilgrimages.
The purpose of local chapters is to keep participants connected to the Camino and to introduce new people to the phenomenon. We plan to accomplish this in a number of ways, such as social events, walks, mentoring future pilgrims and serving as a local host for hospitalero training through American Pilgrims.
- To offer opportunities for local pilgrims to gather and hold events related to the Camino.
- To mentor future pilgrims, promote the pilgrimage and American Pilgrims through social gatherings.
- To serve as a local host for hospitalero training in the Colorado Front Range region.

The Colorado Front Range Chapter has a Facebook page that is public, and only for notifications. AND we have a private Facebook group that is restricted for only pilgrims in Colorado and Wyoming. The private Facebook group is interactive and members of the group can post photos and questions and Camino thoughts. - Our chapter has its very own sello. If you’ve already requested and received your credential, we can arrange for you to receive your first stamp (sello) before you leave home. Just email us. We will try to have the sello at all chapter events as well. (This sello doesn’t actually do anything for you other than indicate that you’re on your way!)
- Don’t have your credential yet? You can request a credential from American Pilgrims on the Camino! Credentials are free for members and non-members pay $5.

- Several times a year American Pilgrims provides the required training to serve as an hospitalero in albergues on the Camino. Announcements of all training sessions are made to (paying) members of American Pilgrims on the Camino (the national organization). - And lastly, the Xunta de Galicia has produced a document “Emergency Guidebook for Pilgrims on the Way of St. James.” It’s filled with good practical ideas and planning and preparation and important information about safety.

Mentor Program
The Colorado Front Range Chapter Camino Mentor Program can pair individuals who have questions about their upcoming Camino with a nearby veteran who can answer questions. Contact [email protected] for details.
Experienced Camino walkers and cyclists who would like to serve as mentors should contact us so that you can be added to our resource list. Potential mentors should provide us with your name, zip code and a brief rundown of your experience including walking or cycling, which route and when.
Become a Member
You don’t need to be a member to participate in chapter activities. However, we’d love to have you! American Pilgrims members aid our national mission to support Camino infrastructure, gather pilgrims and provide information about the Camino. Becoming a member it’s a great way to connect with your fellow pilgrims, qualify for Hospitalero training, contribute to our La Concha publication, and attend exclusive members-only events.
