The Proud Lake State Recreation Area is located at 3500 North Wixom Road, Commerce Township, Michigan 48382. See map click here: https://www2.dnr.state.mi.us/publications/pdfs/RecreationCamping/proud_lake_map.pdf The park is six (6) miles north of I-96, exit 159, (3 miles southeast of Milford). Each vehicle will also need a Michigan State Park Recreation Pass (the same as Brighton Recreation Area requires). Please NOTE: The entrance road to take is on the East side of Wixom Road, almost directly across from Garden Road. There is not a booth to purchase a pass at this entrance. Proceed to the parking area on the road beyond Park Headquarters. DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN PARK ENTRANCE ON GLENGARY ROAD.

MEETING LOCATION: Remick Music Shell Parking Lot (see map). Enter Belle Isle from the McArthur Bridge, onto Sunset Drive, then quickly bear left onto Casino Way.  Take a right turn at the second street, Muse Road, which then dog legs left becoming Loiter Way.  Almost immediately on the right is the Remick Music Shell and Parking Lot where we will gather.   Detroit, Michigan is in the Eastern Time Zone.
