The Proud Lake State Recreation Area is located at 3500 North Wixom Road, Commerce Township, Michigan 48382. See map click here: https://www2.dnr.state.mi.us/publications/pdfs/RecreationCamping/proud_lake_map.pdf The park is six (6) miles north of I-96, exit 159, (3 miles southeast of Milford). Each vehicle will also need a Michigan State Park Recreation Pass (the same as Brighton Recreation Area requires). Please NOTE: The entrance road to take is on the East side of Wixom Road, almost directly across from Garden Road. There is not a booth to purchase a pass at this entrance. Proceed to the parking area on the road beyond Park Headquarters. DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN PARK ENTRANCE ON GLENGARY ROAD.
