Our Next Hospitalero Training Session: Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4, 2023
We are excited and pleased to announce the next Hospitalero Training session of 2023 will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, to Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Mt. Gilead Camp & Conference Center in Stroudsburg, PA. The venue is approximately one hour from both Allentown (ABE) and Wilkes-Barre Scranton (AVP) airports, 90 minutes west of Newark (EWR), and two hours from Philadelphia PHL). The training begins at 4:00 pm on Friday and ends at 4:00 pm on Sunday. You must attend the entire training to be certified.
Registration cost: $295.00. Includes two nights’ lodging, six meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch) and all training materials. Linens are not provided; please bring a sleeping bag, pillow case, towel and toiletries.
Participation is limited to 20. A minimum of 15 participants is required to hold the training session. Registration closes on May 10, 2023. Don’t delay, register today!

Do you want to learn what it takes to become an hospitalero supporting other pilgrims on the road to Santiago?
To attend you must:
- Have walked at least 100 km or biked at least 200 km of the Camino
- Have stayed in at least 2 non-private albergues
- Be a member of American Pilgrims on the Camino
- Be at least 18 years old by June 1, 2023
- Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination plus the booster
Note: Masks may be required during training. Please bring a surgical or KN95 mask with you (no Buffs or bandanas).

Reminder: Bedding, towels and toiletries are not provided. Bring a sleeping bag, pillow case, towel, and soap/shampoo with you.
