A Pilgrim’s Soul

by Bill Artz | North Salt Lake, UT

Oh, pilgrim soul, restless and free,
Called to the Way, so let it be
Pause a while—breathe deep, stand tall,
Fear not of the journey ahead, for love will hold you through it all.

A pilgrim’s soul is bold yet kind,
It looks ahead but leaves behind
The weight of fear, a heavy load,
And walks with grace along the road.

Through golden fields and mountains high,
Beneath the vast and endless sky,
Each step a prayer, each breath a song,
The journey calls—both hard and long.

With shells and arrows as guiding lights,
On a path forged sacred, pure and bright.
Rejoice in the sacred, thin space,
Quench your thirst for peace, love and grace.

With each step let your pains and burdens cease,
Know that this path will lead your heart to peace.
In each step, each breath, each day,
A pilgrim’s soul finds its way.

To rest in lush green meadows’ soft sway,
And find peace by quiet streams along the way.
Guided along this righteous path,
Restored in spirit—come what may.

This journey is yours and yours alone,
So, wander free in the joyful embrace of God’s love and grace.
Where a pilgrim’s soul embraced in His light,
Finds its true eternal place—beyond both time and space.
