My Weightless Pack

My weightless pack Mastini autumn 2024 la concha, mist and horses.

With each Camino, I pack my hopes with joyful abandon. I have no expectations of how they’ll be met, but I do have certainty that in some way, big or small, I will be renewed.

I pack an open mind and heart and take each step with a willingness, a desire to receive all that the Camino offers.

I pack my burdens, knowing that the Way offers to take them from me, that I can lay them to rest free of guilt, free of fear.

And I know that the space left empty after I release my burdens will be filled with the beauty of this physical and spiritual challenge, with the inspiration of so many courageous souls met along the Way, and with the profound knowledge that I have bared myself completely only to be clothed with the many gifts the Camino so freely shares.

My load is now weightless, yet I am full.
