Fort Collins, CO: Colorado Front Range, Towers Trail Hike

There are two options for getting to the Trailhead:
Option 1: Meet at 7:45 AM at JJ's Country Corner to Carpool to the Trailhead (4015 South Taft Hill, Fort Collins). Option 2: Meet at the Soderberg Trailhead at 3903 Shoreline Drive, Fort Collins, at 8:30 AM MDT. There is limited parking at the trailhead, and no parking is allowed on the road or nearby. This is a popular trailhead for hiking, mountain biking and running.
This is a 6.6 mile out and back hike along a dirt double-track service road (1,624 ft elevation gain) to the southern tower. This hike has steep grades–with an average grade of 10% and a maximum grade of 23%. This is for the fit, intermediate, well-trained hiker. This is not a hike for an un-fit…
