A-B-C, it’s easy as 1-2-3. Join us in Fort Collins for a trio of hikes to fight off the cabin fever of winter. We walked the trails of Arapahoe Bend in January. And now it’s time for Bobcat Ridge in March and plans to hike Coyote Ridge in April….Putting together a Camino, really is as simple as A-B-C or putting one foot in front of the other. Come join novice and experienced pilgrims for this 3.8 mile loop hike. Expect views of a small, grassy valley bordered by red cliffs and ponderosa pine west of Fort Collins and Loveland. Maybe we’ll see some wild turkeys. There is minimal elevation gain since nearly half the trail is on the valley floor. The other half of the trail contours the western edge of the valley, so it’s slightly more hilly. Most of the trail is dirt-packed (or snow-packed/muddy depending on the weather). Come prepared for all conditions with ice cleats and/or trekking poles as needed. There is a restroom at the trailhead. Dress in layers for cooler, winter temperatures, including a knit cap and/or hood with mittens and/or gloves. Bring water and a snack.
Please remember: NO dogs allowed, per American Pilgrims on the Camino policy.
