2025 Hospitalero Training Sessions Announced
One of the ways American Pilgrims serves its mission is by training members to be hospitaleros.
While the remaining 2024 hospitalero training session is full, American Pilgrims recently posted its 2025 training schedule:
- February 19-21, 2025: Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
- April 8-10, 2025: Wildwood (St. Louis), MO
- June 6-8, 2025: Stroudsburg, PA
- October 31-November 2, 2025: Black Forest (Colorado Springs), CO
If you are looking for a way to give back to the Camino, consider training to become an hospitalero. American Pilgrims members will receive email notifications when session registration opens.
To be eligible for training as a hospitalero, applicants must:
- have walked at least any 100 kilometers (or biked any 200 kilometers) on the Camino;
- be at least 21 years old at the time of the training session;
- have spent the night in one albergue on the Camino that provides a traditional welcome as described on the registration form, not with a tour group or hotel-based experience; and
- be a current member of American Pilgrims.
