Join Hike Leader David Bennett for an approx. 8 mile hike from Westmoreland Circle to Little Falls Trail, Capital Crescent Trail/C&O Canal towpath, Glover-Archbold Trail. Return along Massachusetts Ave. (Food & drink available in Spring Valley near the end.) Mixture of easy walking and moderate walking in the ins and outs of the G-A stream valley. Poles would be helpful there. Restrooms and water refill available at Fletcher’s Cove on the towpath. Remember to bring fluids to stay hydrated. Insect repellant is advised – we will be walking in wooded stream valleys. If desired, hike may be shortened by taking Metro bus on Mass. Ave. NW at the trail’s exit.

Entrance off Mass. Ave. just before entrance to Westmoreland Circle. Metro bus stops at locations on or near the Circle.
