This trail offers unique geology, abundant wildlife and gorgeous views! It is a 4.5 mile out & back tail with about 600 feet of elevation gain. After a short but fairly steep uphill, we will arrive at a rolling plateau where we will have some awesome views of the Colorado foothills that includes a view of Long’s Peak in the distance.

Join us for a Sunday morning walk on October 25. We’ll meet at 8am for coffee and a chat and then we’ll do a less than 4 mile walk on the Violet Crown Trail. Coffee will be provided. Please bring polls or a walking stick if you need stability on rocks. Otherwise, the trail is mostly flat.
