Go along Gates Pass (Speedway Blvd) heading west to the "T" intersection and turn right on Kinney Rd. Go about a mile until you see a sign (on the right) for Gilbert Ray Campground. Turn left onto "McCain Loop Rd" and in about 200 yards pull into the first parking lot on your right.

This is a very scenic 4.6 miles loop with 800′ of elevation gain. Afterwards, for those who would like to join, we will have lunch at “Coyote Pause Cafe,” which is about 4 miles away, on Kinney Rd.
