We are walking the Noland Loop Trail on Sat, 11 Jul. There is plenty of tree cover so we’ll have shade for a mid-summer walk. There will also be a post-walk Gathering at Oozlefinch Brewery in Hampton (Fort Monroe).
The Noland Trail is a 5.2 mile loop around the lake adjoining the Mariner’s Museum, 100 Museum Drive, in Newport News. This hard dirt path is well-groomed with lots of twists & turns, and beautiful views of the lake. Generally considered an easy route, it takes about an hour and a half to complete.
Plan to meet up with the group at 9:45 AM for departure at 10:00 AM. Park in the Mariner Museum parking lot. We will start at the path entrance to the left (looking at the Museum entrance).
