PARKING DIRECTIONS: As you approach Fawn Creek Winery from the south, drive past their main driveway entrance and pull into the large grassy “overflow” lot on the left, about 100 yards up the road. Look for our blue and yellow banner.
WHAT TO EXPECT: We will hike country roads near the Fawn Creek Winery. It’s an easy, level walk just under 3 miles long. Partly on a dirt road through a shaded forest, then on lightly traveled country roads. Don’t forget your sunscreen and bug spray.
NOTE: We will enjoy tapas after our walk. We will follow the picnic policy for Fawn Creek Winery: “We want to respect the tradition many customers have created by packing a picnic for their visit to Fawn Creek. In that spirit, we will continue to offer the option in our grassy areas and on picnic tables. No carry-in beverages are allowed.”
FACILITIES: There are restrooms and a water fountain available.
CREDENTIAL STAMP: If you are walking a Camino this year and would like your first stamp to be our chapter stamp, please bring your Credential (Pilgrim’s Passport) to any of our monthly meetings.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Money to purchase beverages from Fawn Creek Winery
- Camping chair or blanket to sit on–we will be in the grassy forest where picnic tables are available
- Tapas to share
- Donativo if you wish to take home a chapter patch for your pack
