Do you know that we have a very special opportunity to be part of the America Discovery Trail (ADT) 250 Relay? This is a 6,800 mile relay that starts in California and ends in Delaware, starting with crossing the Golden Gate Bridge on the 4th of July and ending on Thanksgiving at the Atlantic Ocean. And we as Coloradans already know….Colorado is special! There are 3 different parts of Colorado in which the America Discovery Trail passes through, and which we can sign up to be a part of the relay. The dates for when the Relay will pass through Colorado are August 18 – September 14, 2026. If you are preparing for your upcoming Camino or pilgrimage, this is a great opportunity for your training (both hiking and biking)! And if you’re not planning an upcoming Camino/pilgrimage…this is a great way to connect with other people in this unique opportunity to travel along part of the ADT and celebrate our country’s 250 years.
Let’s meet for the September 8th part of the walking relay that heads north towards Julesburg, Colorado….but we will only walk for 7.6 miles to Mile High Stadium/Empower Field, which is the 1st stage of the Colorado ADT Northern Relay route.
And remember…No dogs allowed per American Pilgrims on the Camino policy.
