Columbus, OH: Central Ohio Chapter, Shell Ceremony & Blendon Woods Hike

Join us at 1 pm in Blendon Woods Metropark for our 2025 Shell Ceremony at the amphitheater to left of Nature Center. First time pilgrims will receive their shell. A hearty sendoff will be given to new and pilgrims returning to the Camino as they prepare to embark on their adventures! All are encouraged to attend the Shell Ceremony.

First time pilgrims need to notify us at centralohio@americanpilgrims.org so we can have their shells ready! If weather is disagreeable, we will move the Shell Ceremony inside to the back of the Nature Center.

Following the Shell Ceremony, we will hike 3.8 to 5.7 miles depending upon weather and trail conditions . After the 3.8 mile hike , we will pass through the Nature Center parking lot, so those who do not want to walk the additional 2 miles will be free to leave. Wear sturdy footwear for uneven surfaces. Restrooms and water fountains are available.
