We will meet at 1 pm in the parking lot of Pleasant Hill Lake Dam, near the top of the stairs, across from the Morning Glory Spillway. The parking lot is located on CR 3006 (Goon Rd) There are restrooms (pit toilets – so plan accordingly) and plenty of free parking spaces available.

We will be walking down 186 steps with railings. From there we will walk the Pleasant Hill Trail – a level wide trail – to the Covered Bridge and then on to the Hog Hollow Trail – a moderate to somewhat difficult trail – to the Fire Tower and back. And, yes, we will be climbing those same 186 steps to return to the parking lot. There are railings on the stairs and the climb is really not that taxing. but great for conditioning the legs. Trails are shaded and mostly dirt and gravel. Wear sturdy footwear for uneven terrain. Trekking poles optional . You will want to bring a water bottle and maybe bug spray and a snack.
