Reynoldsburg, OH: Central Ohio, Blacklick Woods Metropark Hike and El Portal Lunch

Meet in parking lot in front of Blacklick Woods Metropark Nature Center at 10 am. We will offer an option of 2 walk distances – 1.7 miles and another of about 4 miles. We will begin together and those who finish first may enjoy relaxing in the Adirondack chairs and on the benches under the canopy in front of the Nature Center and talk Camino, simply socialize, or explore the Nature Center. When the 4 mile group returns we will proceed to El Portal Restaurant for lunch. El Portal offers a variety of options including vegetarian options and is modestly priced.

Park offers ample free parking and there are restrooms at start of hike and at the 3 mile point on the 4 mile walk. Trails are mostly shaded and are asphalt and gravel. There is one gentle descent and ascent. You may want to bring a water bottle and bug spray.

Blacklick Woods Metropark is located at 6675 East Livingston Ave – Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. The Nature Center is located a little over a mile into the park, just follow the road back to the Nature Center parking lot.

El Portal Restaurant is located at 6999 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 * If you just wish to join us for lunch, we would be arriving to El Portal Mexican Restaurant about 12 noon.*
