Our chapter, the Southeast Michigan Chapter of the American Pilgrims Association, will hold a “Shell Ceremony and Pilgrim Blessing” for pilgrims leaving this year, experiencing their first pilgrimage.

If you wish to receive your shell for those making your first Camino, please reply to our email address (link below) with your name and the date you plan to leave for your Camino so we can include you in the Shell Ceremony.

Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The library is in the Manly W. Bennett Park.

Meet at the Hamburg Township Library at 10:00 AM.
Program:
“Why is the scallop shell important to pilgrims?” and finish with the Shell Ceremony and Pilgrim Blessing.
Followed by coffee, hot cocoa, and pastries.

THEN… we will take a short walk on the Lakeland Trail.
