Join co-chairs Karen McMenamy & Nancy Nee Hanifin as they detail the original route to Santiago de Compostela, the Camino primitivo. This strenuous two-week walk starts in Oviedo, the seat of the Kingdom of Asturias. It follows the footsteps of King Alfonso II as he journeyed across the Cantabrian mountains to Lugo and Melide and finally into Santiago to verify the discovery of the bones of St James in 813 CE.
