Waleska, GA: Atlanta Chapter, July hike in Garland Mountain Horse & Hiking area

The Atlanta Chapter will be doing three separate loops that will add up to about six miles. Most write ups on the trails call it easy. We’d say moderate in that there are a few hills. All the trails are well graded with very few rocks and roots. We will be sharing the trail with horses who have the right of way.

Location- 1411 Garland Mountain Mountain Way. (The address is a little misleading in that it’s the address of the parking lot.) Google maps shows how to get there. Garland Mountain Trail is off state route 140 outside Waleska. Garland Mountain Way runs off of Garland Mountain Trail. There are signs on 140 and Garland Mountain Trail.

Time- Meet at 8:45. Shoot to get hiking at 9:00.
