Valley Park MO: St. Louis Chapter, Lone Elk Park Hike + Lunch

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
We’ll meet at 9:00 AM at the Lone Elk Visitor Center parking lot. We’ll then hike the White Bison Trail which circles the lake and the perimeter of the park. The hike is approximately 3.25 miles. Total hiking time is approximately 2 hours, anticipating several stops for animal photo ops.

At the conclusion of the hike, we’ll drive to The Corner Pub and Grill in Valley Park for lunch and fellowship. The restaurant is a 15-minute drive from the park.

DIRECTIONS:
1 Lone Elk Park Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63088-2032

From Hwy 44 take Exit 272 for Valley Park-Fenton-MO 141.
* Go west on the I-44 N. Outer Rd West for 2 miles
* Enter Lone Elk Park
* Continue on Lone Elk Park Rd to the Visitor Center parking lot

TRAIL:
This is an easy to moderate hike on pea gravel and packed paths.

• Seasonally appropriate clothing/rain gear
• Money to cover your lunch tab
