Tempe, AZ: Valley of the Sun Chapter, Intro to Camino at Tempe Town Lake

Easy social walk along Tempe Town Lake and participation in the 5th Annual St James Global Camino Walk to spread the word about the Camino.

ABOUT THIS WALK: While the Camino de Santiago is generally the topic of conversation on all of our hikes/walks, this hike is specifically targeted to those who are still trying to learn about the Camino and decide if they can/want to do it. We will walk 1.5 miles, level and easy via pedestrian bridge, along north shore and turn south on Mill Avenue bridge. Coffee at Daily Jam, we may be sitting outside so dress accordingly. After coffee and chat we will walk 1 mile back to our cars. Daily Jam has restrooms and drinking water.

Jan 11, 2005 will be the 5th Annual St James Global Camino Walk. This event started in Tasmania and has become a way to spread word of the Camino around the world and share Camino camaraderie in your local. The Global Walk is not about skill, speed or distance so this will be a “perfect” Global Walk.
