Our next group hike is the Hog Canyon Hike west of Spokane (between Cheney and Sprague). The hike is about 5 to 6 miles in a big loop along Hog Lake to Hog Canyon Falls and then back by old Folsom homestead.

**Allow 40 minutes to drive there from Spokane!**
Directions: Drive west on I-90 about 30 minutes to Fish Trap exit 254. Turn left at the exit ramp stop sign onto to Sprague Hwy. Go about 2 miles and pass under railroad tracks. Turn left on Fish Trap Road. The parking area is to the right (south) about 1/2 mile. Look for our hike leader Lisa’s black Silverado truck.

Good hiking shoes are recommended as are trekking poles, if desired. This hike follows a trail and is not appropriate for strollers. There are a few hills and the pace will be about 2 to 3 miles per hour. Bring plenty of water, trail snacks, sun block, hat, shades, and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions (forecast currently shows hot weather that day!).
