South River Falls VA: Shenandoah Valley Chapter, June Chapter Hike

Join us on Sunday, June 7, for a hike in Shenandoah National Park to the South River Falls.

We will meet at the South River Picnic Grounds at milepost 62.8 at 10am. Please be sure to bring plenty of water.

This 3.3 mile hike is rated moderate with an elevation gain of about 900 feet. The waterfall is 83 feet! There is a stream crossing, so please bring hiking poles. Also, long pants are recommended to avoid contact with any poison ivy that might be in the area.

Afterwards we’ll gather for lunch at the Big Meadows Lodge, where we can talk about the Caminos our group has planned for the upcoming year.
