Smyrna, GA: Atlanta Chapter, January Walk and Coffee

Are you ready to put that New Year’s resolution to work? Join our newest hike leader Shauna for a hike on this west side gem. The Silver Comet Trail is built on a former railway so it’s relatively flat. That makes it a great way to get back into the swing of walking if took a break over the holidays.

Our walk will be 2 miles to Mableton/Floyd Road (Comet Trail Cycles) and for our fast walkers another 1/2 mile or so more.  That would be make it 4-5 miles round trip depending on your choice of turn around point.

A note on the parking area, this is near the Concord Covered Bridge. Depending upon the direction you are coming from you may cross two single lane bridges. Please drive safely and be aware of the need to yield.
