Come join fellow Pilgrims on a gorgeous Saturday hike and take in the spring weather as you get
to know others along the way. As on the Camino, discuss whatever and as much or as little as
you care. This event is open to all, whether or not you’re a APOC member.

Due to the large geographical area of our Silicon Valley Chapter (i.e., SF Bay mid-peninsula to
Monterey Bay), we are planning for two concurrent hikes on May 9th: Hike #1 for those who live
in the south Bay Area, and Hike #2 for those who live in the Monterey Bay Area. However,
anyone can attend either hike as some South Bay folks may want to hike in Asilomar or vice a
versa.

Hike #1 (Rancho San Antonio Park) is loop trail of about 7.5 miles, and a total elevation gain of
about 1200 ft. This hike should take about 3+ hours. There is option to shorten this hike by a
couple of miles (and less elevation gain) for those that are looking for a shorter hike; we’ll
discuss this option at the morning meeting up. Both the planned longer or optional shorter
hikes are rated as Moderate in All-Trails. Plan to bring snacks, water and your trekking
poles. For those that want to share a meal together after the hike, bring a lunch.

Hike #2 (Asilomar Coast Trail) is an out-n-back trail along coast of Pacific Grove into Asilomar
Center and back of about 6 miles, over flat terrain. This hike should take about 2+ hours. Plan to
bring snacks and water.

As on the Camino, these hikes will occur rain or shine, so adjust your attire accordingly
