Sedalia, CO: Colorado Front Range Chapter, Colorado SOCO Hike at Dawson Butte Open Space

SOCO will hike the Dawson Butte Loop at Dawson Butte Open Space north of Larkspur, CO. The trail passes through wooded areas before opening to vast pastures with breathtaking views. The trail provides a great vantage point to view Dawson Butte’s stony face, very reminiscent of the sonty castle that remains along the Camino. This is an easy, well-marked trail approximately 5 miles and is accessible for pilgrims of all abilities. We will pause briefly at the Picnic Tree along the trail for a brief shell ceremony (if needed).

After the hike we will head over to the Spur of the Moment Bar & Grill in Larkspur for refreshments and continued conversation.

We will take a break midway through the hike for a shell ceremony for any first-time pilgrims walking the Camino in 2024.

When: Saturday, July 20th @ 9:00 AM MDT. Please arrive a few minutes early to park and get prepared. We will leave at 9:00 AM.
