San Marcos, TX: Alamo Chapter, Purgatory Creek Natural Area Hike

When: Saturday, November 18 – meet @ 8:00 am; hike begins @ 8:30 am

Details: Gather for a short welcome with sign-in. Decals and patches ($5/patch donation requested) will be available. The 5-mile loop begins at the upper trailhead off Valencia Way (dirt parking area) and has rocky terrain, but is pretty level with slight up/downhilll, with most of the hike in a wooded area.

Remember all your stuff: water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, personal first aid kit, trekking poles– all the normal things you usually take on a hike. Restrooms are available at the park entrance, but not on the trail.
