Hike: Dante’s Trail – Purgatory Creek Greenspace

Where: 2102 Hunter Road (at intersection of RR12 & Hunter Rd), San Marcos, TX 78666
When: Saturday, September 21 from 8:45 am-Noon – meet @ 8:45 am; hike begins @ 9:00 am
Details: Meet in the parking lot @ 8:45 am. The approximate 5-mile hike will take about three hours. There is a significant geological feature, The Grotto, about halfway through the hike. Good variety of terrain and path surface; most sections of trail are shady; simulates sections of the Camino Frances. There is one pit toilet at the trail head. No water sources, so please bring adequate water.

Remember all your stuff: water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, personal first aid kit, trekking poles– all the normal things you usually take on a hike.
