San Marcos, CA: San Diego Chapter, San Elijo Hills Hike and Lunch

The route begins off San Elijo Road near the site of the old San Marcos Landfill. From there, we’ll follow the natural Copper Creek Trail that is part of the Rancho La Costa Habitat Conservation Area. There is one section with a steady, moderate incline (then similar descent) – giving you a good opportunity to practice with walking poles if you have them.
