San Antonio TX: San Antonio Chapter, January Global Pilgrimage Walk

This will be an urban walk, a 9-mile loop beginning at Mission Concepcion to the San Pedro Creek Greenway trail to downtown. From the San Pedro Creek Cultural path, we’ll swing by the Spanish Governor’s Palace, San Fernando Cathedral, and join the San Antonio Riverwalk (not the tourist part!!). From there we’ll walk along the river back to Mission Concepcion. We’ll take two breaks along the way (around mile 3 and mile 6) and may stop for coffee and snacks if it’s cold.

For the second year in a row, we are participating in The Way of Saint James Cygnet Global Pilgrimage, people from all over set aside this weekend for a good walk! Our walk will be around nine miles (longer than normal) and a good opportunity to cover some “Camino-like” distances if you’re training for a 2026 journey. Even if you’re not training, our hikes are always filled with interesting people and good conversations!
