San Antonio, TX: Alamo Chapter, El Camino de San Antonio Missions Program

Rebecca Simmons, Executive Director of El Camino de San Antonio Missions, will share the details about this exciting local pilgrimage route! El Camino de San Antonio Missions have partnered with the Camino de Santiago in Spain, wherein pilgrims who walk the entire San Antonio Missions route receive 30 km credit when walking the Camino Ingles in Spain. Hear more about this new pilgrimage, how it came to be, and how you can make a pilgrimage along the route. We are meeting in the newly opened El Camino Pilgrimage Center located directly behind Mission Concepción and will tour Mission San José afterward.

10:00 am Program begins. Presentation from Executive Director Rebecca Simmons
11:00 am Leave for Mission San José (6701 San Jose Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214) – It is 2.5 miles from the Pilgrimage Center, about a 5 minute drive.
This 30-minute gap allows time to use the restroom, shop, and drive over to the Mission.
11:30 am Meet at the doors of Mission San José church for a tour.
Optional Lunch to follow at Nicha’s Comida Mexicana – Southside -3119 Roosevelt Ave – It is about a mile from Mission San Jose, less than a 5 minute drive.
