San Antonio, TX: Alamo Chapter, Eisenhower Park to The Rim Walk

Join us for an easy 5-mile walk along the paved path from Eisenhower Park to The Rim and back again. Gather @ 7:45; hike begins @ 8:00. Details: Gather near the Eisenhower Park Trailhead sign. We will have a short welcome with sign-in. Decals and patches ($5/patch donation requested) will be available. The walk should take no more than 2 hours. The elevation change is 246 ft — downhill on the out part; back uphill on the return. There are bicycles as well as walkers/runners, but the path is quite wide.

Remember all your stuff: water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, personal first aid kit — all the normal things you usually take on a hike. Restrooms are available at the park, but not at The Rim. We will not stop at The Rim; just turn around and head back to Eisenhower Park.
