Saint Augustine Fl: Jacksonville Chapter, PILGRIMS BLESSING AND ANNUAL SCALLOP SHELL CEREMONY

Members of the Jacksonville Chapter that are departing on a Camino this year are invited to join us for a Pilgrims Blessing. Chapter members, family and friends are also invited to attend this meaningful ceremony. First time Pilgrims will be presented with a Scallop Shell (the Pilgrims badge) and a certificate, at the annual event. Deacon Michael Ellison will again lead the ceremony. He is a fellow Pilgrim and shares meaningful Camino insight and wisdom. He will bless the shells, all Pilgrims and backpacks (if you wish to bring one for the Blessing).

Prior to the ceremony, there will be a hike that will cover approximately 3 miles of The Camino de Las Americas into St. Augustine. More information is provided in the Hikes Section of the newsletter. Please sign up separately there if you plan to attend the hike. We need to know the number attending the hike to plan return transportation.
