Sacramento CA: Sacramento Pilgrims, Last Sunday Walk

First time out with us, or long-time returnees … All are welcome to join us for this lovely out and back walk along the American River.

Every “Last Sunday of the Month”, rain or shine, we meet for a lovely 6-ish mile walk along the American River. Up on the levee, we have a route that is primarily car- and bike-free, where we can spread out and walk without worry! You walk your own walk and walk your own pace!

It’s a monthly opportunity to meet with other Sacramento Area Camino enthusiasts, ask questions about upcoming walks or routes, test out gear, reminisce, mentor new walkers, learn about upcoming chapter events, and continue to cultivate the Camino camaraderie here at home!

Bring water, snacks, hat, sunscreen, and appropriate shoes and/or gear for your walk along the gravel levee. If it looks like rain is in the forecast, bring your rain ware and test it out! Feel free to bring your pack and/or poles, or any gear you’d like to test out.

We will gather at Glenn Hall Park near the bathrooms next to the pool at 8:00am with our walk starting at 8:30am. Entrance to this park is FREE, as is the parking in the lot and along the street.

Note: Unfortunately our four-legged friends best stay home for these walks (due to insurance-type reasons … thanks!)
