The American Pilgrims on the Camino Raleigh Chapter is gathering to socialize and feast in celebration of St. James Day. St. James is the patron saint of Spain and his shrine, located in Santiago de Compostela, is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world. Participants in the Raleigh Chapter St. James Day Celebration are invited to bring Spanish food dishes to share along with Spanish wines and other beverages. This is a great chance to get to know other chapter members and share stories from various pilgrimages. We’ll do a shell ceremony and blessing to pilgrims who are headed out later in the summer or in the fall. We’ll also welcome back those who have just returned from their journey.
