Have you seen the movie “The Way”. The Camino de Santiago, “The Way of St. James”, attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims each year.
In Camino 101, the first of our 3-part educational series, the Tampa Bay Chapter will talk about the history and the culture of this medieval pilgrimage that begins traditionally with the path over the Pyrenees Mountains. Whether you choose the Camino for fitness, spiritual reasons or camaraderie you will enjoy learning from the Chapter’s experienced pilgrims. They are ready help and talk about the basics including the history of the Camino, route possibilities, lodging, local food, and some gear hints and the challenges of walking the Camino. This workshop will be a great beginning as you prepare to head off on your Camino and will be an opportunity to mingle with other Tampa Bay pilgrims.
