Phoenix, AZ: Valley of the Sun Chapter, South Mountain 11 miles Hike

This is the 1st of four back-to-back long hikes. It is on desert trails and includes a steady climb to simulate a typical day on any Camino (like leaving Pamplona) except this trail will be rockier. Join us for one or all of the walks in this series as a great way to dial in your gear, your body or your mind. Thank you Debbie Hinshaw for leading this hike.
Total distance: ~11 miles (4 miles EASY and 7miles MODERATE)
Elevation gain: 600 ft ascent and 1100 ft descent
Time: 5-6 hours with optional stop for coffee and restrooms
