***Due to great success, we are repeating the Camino exchange between Shorewalkers and APOC – and are adding a 3mile pre-meeting walk.***

Are you walking the Camino later this year or next? Are you thinking about doing it or have you done it before? Or do you just want to have a lovely evening in great company with other friendly walkers to watch the sunset on a Manhattan rooftop?

If the answer to any of the above is “yes,” join us for an info exchange & social gathering with fellow Camino enthusiasts.Event co-hosted by Shorewalkers. Shorewalkers members will be in attendance as well to learn more about the APOC and the Camino. Choose one of the following two options.

WALK (3 miles, optional, alternatively join us directly at the social gathering)

When: September 12 from 5:30pm (we start promptly)Where: Columbus Circle, in the middle of the roundabout (Columbus statue).How to get there: By Subway: Take the A, B, C, D, or 1 train or local buses.

SOCIAL GATHERING

When: September 12 from 7pmWhere: Pier 57 rooftopHow to get there: By Subway: Take the A, C, E, or L train to the 14th Street (8th Avenue) station. Walk west to West Side Highway and 15th Street.By Bus (From North/East/South): Take the M14, M20, or M11 bus to 14th Street. Walk west to the West Side Highway.How to find us on the roof: we will be on the stadium seating that joins the two rooftop levels.

Program:

American Pilgrims of the Camino and Shorewalkers will give brief introductions of their respective organizations.

You have ample opportunity to help interested first-time pilgrims, ask questions and get tips from experienced Camino walkers and Shorewalkers, network with others and exchange ideas.

Good to know:

This is not a pet-friendly event.

This is not a religious meeting.

You can buy food and drinks in the Pier 57 food hall on the ground floor and bring it upstairs to the roof. There is now a bar on the roof and, perhaps, light snacks.

In case of rain, we will gather in the food hall on the ground floor.
