Joyce Rupp wrote a book considered to be in the top 10 of Camino books titled, Walk in a Relaxed Manner, that will be the theme of this hike. This trail appeals to all the senses, you can get lost in the diversity in a short distance. It starts with a short climb up to a view point of Lake Tahoe, then goes down to cross 3rd Creek, following the creek down the mountain, to a crossing of the creek just below a series of Beaver ponds. The trail turns back climbing back up the other side of the creek to the starting point. The hike is just about a 5 mile loop with wildflowers, a stream, ponds, and enough elevation change to be a workout. Trekking poles are good, as one downhill section has rolly stones, and a couple of stream crossings.

Experience this easy loop hike of approximately 5 miles with a post-hike luncheon option in Incline Village. Overall elevation gain is ~500 feet, maximum elevation is ~8630 feet.

There will be a lunch and beverage option at Alibi Ale Works (931 Tahoe Blvd, Incline) after the hike for more socializing and camaraderie.
