Morton VA, Capital Area Chapter,New Year Hike at Mason Neck State Park

Join Chapter Coordinator Jim Larocco for a 6-mile hike (~3 hours) in Mason Neck State Park. The group will walk along Belmont Bay to a nature trail with lookouts at the bay and marshes. This historic location, near the mansion of George Mason and Pohick Bay, is where eagles nest in the winter. All ages walk these trails, so hiking poles are optional. Chapter patches, pins and stickers will be available.
Parking fees are waived in celebration of the First Day Hikes Initiative.
