This family-friendly hike features beautiful views of Lake Pleasant and possible wildflower and wild burro sighting! The hike starts on the Wild Burro trail and continues with the Beardsley trail when we cross the road. The grades are mostly long gradual up and down. We have seen Burros on this trail. The burros around Lake Pleasant are descendants of the burros brought by the Spaniards in the 1500s. Plus our hike leaders have walked the Frances, the Via Francigena and cycled from Belgium to Santiago and back! A treat for a new hike and lots of Camino know-how.

Due to the length of this hike, we recommend you bring a minimum 2 liters of water, a snack, hiking poles and, as always, your own first aid kit. No dogs for liability reasons. Please stay home if you are feeling sick.

All our hikes and activities are planned & led by volunteers and donations are appreciated to support the chapter. If you are a member of the American Pilgrims on the Camino and interested in leading a hike or walk, please contact us at phoenix@americanpilgrims.org.
