This hike hits highlights of the easy trails (well groomed with little elevation gain). Tom will lead us from Lost Sheep, Moon Rock, Blevins, Cats Peak and Chain Fruit trails. Stunning views of the Superstition Mountains, shoulder-high chain fruit cholla cactus and possible deer sightings. This untouched area gives you a sense of what the desert was like and why much of the area near here is wilderness. If you have wanted to see what the full-moon hike is like during the day, this route covers most of those trails. The hike passes through 3 washes, some step-ups to stop erosion and a short sandy section.

Due to the length of this hike, we recommend you bring a minimum 2 liters of water, a snack, hiking poles and, as always, your own first aid kit.

Please stay home if you are feeling sick, and no dogs for liability reasons.

All our hikes and activities are planned & led by volunteers and donations are appreciated to support the chapter. If you are a member of the American Pilgrims on the Camino and interested in leading a hike or walk, please contact us at phoenix@americanpilgrims.org.
