The Hunter’s Full Moon will rise at 6:13PM so we will begin our walk at dusk to gradually adjust to visibility. The leisurely hike will include the Blevins and Moon Rock (of course) Trails. Both trails are packed gravel with a few sandy washes and little elevation gain. We will begin watching the sunset as we walk west on Blevins Trail to Moon Rock. We will reconnect with Blevins trail and walk east into the moonrise over the Superstition Mountains with little light pollution.

BRING A FLASHLIGHT OR HEADLAMP and recommend wearing long pants or socks due to desert critters.

You are welcome to BRING A BEVERAGE AND CAMP CHAIR for social hour after the hike.

Donations are always appreciated to support the efforts of the Valley of the Sun chapter.
