Join chapter coordinator Jim Larocco on March 25 for an 8-mile hike through Occoquan Regional Park and Laurel Hills. Great opportunity for first time pilgrims to bring and carry the gear you will use on the camino. There will be a gear talk and gear check starting at 8:30 am. The hike will start at 9:00am. No RSVP necessary. Like on the camino, the hike will take place rain or shine. Janet and Jim will also give their packing talk, so you might want to bring a beach chair or something to tailgate in the lot. Don’t forget to pack a lunch or snack.
Park Address: 9751 Ox Rd, Lorton, VA 22079
Meeting place: First large parking lot about a mile past the turnoff to enter the park from Ox Road. It is on the left, just beyond a memorial under construction. Park near the suffragette memorial.
Don’t forget to bring $5 cash donation (small bills, please) if you would like to get a chapter patch.
NOTE: any updates are made through through the Capital Area chapter email list. Be sure you are signed up.
