Liberty Lake, WA: Spokane Chapter, Liberty Creek and Edith Hansen Trail Loop Hike

The hike is listed as 8.5 miles with 1,374 feet elevation gain. All Trails calls it “moderate” but some may feel it is “difficult.” These stats are from the beginning of the trailhead which is in the campground. When you include walking from the parking lot, it’s closer to 9.5 miles. Plan for around 4-4.5 hours hiking with the group. The trail starts out fairly flat and wide and then once we hit the cedar grove it becomes a narrower hiking trail. From the peak back down, the trail widens again. 

From a preview hike, the trail was found to be in good condition. There are shaded areas, but it is recommended to wear sunscreen and/or head coverings and wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Entry fee is $2/person.
