Lewes, DE: DelMarVa Chapter, Cape Henlopen State Park Hike

Hike at Cape Henlopen State Park on Saturday, December 4th at 10:30am. The hike will be approximately 4 miles and we will explore the Pinelands Nature Trail, Fort Miles Historical Area, the Great Dune Overlook and also climb up a WWII Observation Tower.

The Pinelands Nature trail is a sandy surface covered with pine straw. The other sections we will be hiking are on asphalt. We will meet at the Senator McBride Beach Parking lot. The fee season is over at the Delaware State Parks so admission to the park is free. Follow the signs for Beach and/or McBride Beach. You will make a left after the admission booth and then a right on Post Lane. Follow the signs to the parking area for the beach. Click HERE to see a map of Cape Henlopen State Park.
