After our trip to the Southern section of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park it’s time to head back to the end of the park most people are familiar with. We hope you will join us as Jim leads us in a hike to cover approximately 6.2 mile Red Trail on the North end of the park.
If you haven’t been on this trail (or it’s been a while) please be aware the first leg up the mountain is strenuous. But there is good news- the shuttle bus is once again available. If you’re not sure about your ability to make to the top, and then complete the hike, please utilize this service! We will meet you at the top.

The starting point will be the overflow parking lot on Old Hwy 41–just NW of the main visitor center parking lot. If coming from I-75 via Barrett Parkway, you will see the overflow parking lot on the right, immediately before arriving at the visitor’s center. We will walk to the Visitor’s Center, split there, and meet back up at the top of the mountain.
