The Gilbert Riparian Preserve is a unique place in the Valley with ponds that attract all kinds of birds and a nice mostly shaded path to beat the heat. This area is worth the trip where more than 300 species of birds have been seen, a surprising petting zoo and maybe a bald eagle pair.
