Georgetown DE: DelMarVa Chapter, Redden State Forest Hike

Join us on for a 5 mile hike in Redden State Forest – Headquarters Tract – Georgetown, DE.

Redden State Forest is Delaware’s largest forest. Walk among the loblolly pines and other hardwood trees on the Headquarters tract loop trail. It is a very peaceful trail that attracts bird watchers and horseback riders. The entrance is located at 18074 Redden Forest Drive, Georgetown, DE. Park at the visitor center at the end of the road. There is no entrance fee.

The trail is a mix of gravel near the camping areas and then primarily pine covered sand/dirt. There is a porta-pot at the beginning/end of the trail.

Bring your lunch and we can picnic after our hike.
